This is an exciting time to study gravitational physics. There is a wealth of new data coming from new detectors and telescopes. Indeed the 2017 Nobel prize in physics was for the first direct detection of gravitational waves, and the 2020 Nobel prize in physics was for black holes. In addition, there are deep mysteries about black holes and cosmology, especially when quantum effects are included. These lead to fundamental questions about the nature of time, space, and the Big Bang.

 

The Gravity Theory Trust is a UK based charity devoted to supporting research in theoretical gravitational physics, addressing these deep mysteries and fundamental questions.
