
Dr George Blumberg

Dr George Blumberg is a retired lecturer in the School of the Built Environment at Oxford Brookes University and serves as the Chairman of the Gravity Theory Trust. He was educated at the George Washington University with a degree in mechanical engineering, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a master's in Earth Science. His thesis was on a series of seismic explorations of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. He completed his education with a DPhil from the University of Oxford, where his thesis was on the frequency and severity of heat waves in urban centres.
In between degrees, he worked in the construction industry as a site surveyor, became the head engineer of the Marine Seismology Lab at MIT, and served a stint as an environmental consultant. Later, as an academic, he lectured and wrote on diverse subjects such as carbon taxation, environmental strategies for the built environment, automation in construction, and the application of Blockchains for engineering. He keeps homes in Naples (Italy) and Oxford (England) with his Italian wife Rossella.
