Educated in Cultural Anthropology and Biochemistry at the University of Tokyo in 1978, Shinichi went on to found Sosei Group (now Nxera Pharma) in 1990. He served as Founder and Chairman from 1990 to 2025 and held the role of CEO of Sosei Co. between 2006 and 2013. Following his retirement at the AGM in March 2025, he leaves behind a legacy of establishing one of Japan’s leading public biotech champions, recognised for its global partnerships and innovative pipeline.
